This one started as a lesson. Hands on the yoke, a Certified Flight Instructor in the right seat, and New York out the windscreen. Steve flew it in August 2026, aboard N9737W — a 1960s Piper Cherokee the crew call Lady Azzurra. Tracked on the way round, she covered 26.6 nautical miles, climbed to 2,300 feet and touched 108 knots over the ground.
